SERVODYN
A rugged, low cost, stationary field, air-cooled, eddy current variable speed drive whose simplicity of construction results in extreme operational reliability.
- Prime mover either flange mounted induction motor forming an integral design of the drive or a separate foot mounted motor attached to modular design of the drive.
- Stationary field coils-no slip rings or moving contacts.
- Fast response AC Tachogenerator 48 poles for low ripple and excellent linearity.
- Dynamically balanced rotating parts and over sized bearings to ensure long, maintenance-free service.
Principle of Operation:
Servodyn Drive operates on Eddy Current principle to transmit torque from constant speed AC sq. cage motor to the load. It consists of Drum-Pole assembly and rotates without any mechanical link, but is electromagnetically coupled by field generated by excitation coil energised by Electronic Controller and Regulator.
